BARIŞ Electrical Industry Inc., established in 1979 for the manufacturing of transformers encapsulated by epoxy resin and silica powder, has been engaged in defense industry since 1986. BARIŞ has the capability of manufacturing self-designed composite structures with special methods as well as Filament Winding, Resin Transfer Moulding, Open Moulding and Hand Lay-up.

BARIŞ, participating in "European Stinger Project" since 1988, manufactures "Launch Tube", which is produced by filament winding and "Gyro-activator", for which she established an electro-mechanical assembly line, as the prime-contractor of EADS (former DASA) - Germany. BARIŞ also started working in "Eryx Antitank Missile Project" in 1998 as a sub-contractor of EADS (former Aerospatiale, Matra Missiles) - France for which she is manufacturing "Launch Tube" and "Fire Box".

As a result of the successful studies of R&D Department, founded in 1995, BARIŞ received DTM R&D Award in 1996. BARIŞ, representing Turkey in European Research Projects called "EUCLID CEPA RTP3 Advanced Materials", manufactures self-designed composite structures for The Scientific and Technical Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK), ROKETSAN Missile Industries Inc., ASELSAN Electronic Industry Inc. and Machinery, Chemistry Industry Institution (MKEK).

BARIŞ, who has "AQAP-110 Quality System" and "Security Clearance Certificate", developed a comprehensive material database by using her own laboratory facilities. BARIŞ also increased her design and analysis flexibility by having self-designed analysis and design program, BARCAD and FEA software, MSC/Nastran.
